Residential Garage Door Rollers
Three variations are available:
-
Black PVC Rollers:
- Known for their silence and lack of ball bearings.
- Recommended for doors with a width of less than 10 ft. (3 m).
-
Steel Rollers:
- Equipped with ball bearings.
- Opt for rollers with a minimum of 10 ball bearings.
-
PVC-Covered Steel Rollers:
- Offers enhanced quietness.
- Suitable for both single and double doors, equipped with 11 ball bearings.
It's worth noting that the majority of residential doors are furnished with 2-inch (50 mm) diameter rollers.
Commercial and Industrial Rollers
Primarily, steel rollers are available for both 2 and 3-inch hardware, suitable for single or double hinges. The roller diameters range from 2 to 3 inches (50 to 76 mm).
For specific applications:
-
Car or Truck Wash:
- Rubber rollers designed for heavy-duty use.
- Provides enhanced protection against rust.
-
Precision Rollers:
- Tailored for very large doors that demand precision in operation.
How Do I Make My Rollers Last Longer
Yes, by lubricating them twice a year. Remember that a roller must roll, not slide, in the track.
Can I change a broken roller by myself?
Certainly, as long as it's not the bottom roller of the door. Additionally, make sure your electric garage door opener is disabled by disconnecting it from the electrical outlet to prevent unauthorized door opening using a remote control.
However, we do not recommend attempting the repair yourself. If you observe a broken or nearly dislodged roller, please contact us immediately, and we will promptly address the issue. Take precautionary measures to block the door to ensure it remains inoperative.
